Customer Service Representative Location: Milpitas, CA Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour 26-10293 Job Summary The Customer Service Representative I provides responsive and professional support to customers in a distribution or manufacturing environment involving tangible products. This role manages customer inquiries, prepares quotes, enters orders, coordinates order fulfillment, and supports returns and exchanges. The position requires strong communication, organization, and computer skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Job Responsibilities Manage a high volume of customer emails and incoming calls. Respond to product inquiries promptly, accurately, and professionally. Prepare customer quotes and enter orders accurately. Place orders and provide order acknowledgments to customers. Coordinate with third-party vendors to support timely and accurate order fulfillment. Initiate and process customer returns and exchanges. Build and maintain positive customer relationships through responsive service. Support customer retention and repeat business through effective communication and follow‑up. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve customer needs and improve processes. Meet established departmental service and performance metrics. Maintain accurate customer and order information in applicable systems. Job Requirements Experience in distribution or manufacturing involving tangible goods. Customer service experience, preferably in an industrial, distribution, or manufacturing environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service and relationship‑building skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and perform effectively under pressure. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to navigate and multitask within a Microsoft Windows environment. Ability to maintain established departmental metrics and service standards.
