Job Description
HOURS: Day Shift; Flexible
\nFULL TIME: Benefits Eligible
\nYou will:
\n- \n
- Perform a vital part of the patient care process by examining prepared slides with the microscope to detect evidence of abnormalities \n
- Report negative Pap Test cases and refer abnormal cases to pathologists for review \n
- May read Non-GYN specimens and report findings to pathologists for final diagnosis \n
- Document the total number of slides examined or reviewed within each 24-hour period \n
- Document the number of hours spent examining slides daily \n
- Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment \n
- Champion safety, compliance, and quality control \n
All you need is:
\n- \n
- Graduation from an accredited school of cytology \n
- NYS Lab License. \n
- Certification as a Cytotechnologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists \n
- Possess critical thinking, complex problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills \n
- Ability to operate general laboratory equipment and have basic computer skills \n
Bonus points if you have:

- 2+ years of laboratory training or experience \n
Salary Range: $38.00 to $50.00 per hour (depending on experience). Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.
