UI/UX Engineer

Location: Culver City or Cupertino, CA (Hybrid) Duration: 12 months Our client is seeking an experienced UI/UX Engineer to build polished consumer software experiences across mobile platforms. This role sits at the intersection of design and engineering, translating interaction concepts into high-quality, production-ready experiences with exceptional attention to motion, performance, and usability. Responsibilities Design and implement UI, motion, and interactions for new features and experiences Partner with product designers to translate static concepts into functional, interactive experiences Prototype interaction concepts in code to quickly validate usability and feel Build and maintain shared UI component and motion libraries Refine transitions, animations, haptics, edge cases, and accessibility behaviors Balance creative goals with performance, platform conventions, device capabilities, and accessibility requirements Collaborate with engineering teams on architecture, implementation, and integration Communicate clearly around project scope, timelines, technical constraints, and trade-offs Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining a high level of design quality Requirements 6-10 years of experience building production mobile interfaces Expert-level experience with SwiftUI and UIKit, including interoperability within mature codebases Advanced experience with animation and gesture APIs across both frameworks Strong understanding of spring and physics-based motion, interruptible animations, and gesture-driven interactions Strong design sensibility with the ability to work from Figma designs or ambiguous creative direction Experience rapidly prototyping interactions using Xcode, Figma, or code Experience with AI-assisted development and rapid prototyping workflows Deep understanding of mobile interface guidelines and platform motion conventions Strong performance optimization skills, including profiling, rendering, layout costs, and frame budgets Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives Portfolio or shipped applications demonstrating hands-on interaction and animation work Preferred Qualifications Experience with shaders or custom rendering and visual effects Experience with 3D or immersive application development Experience with advanced animation and graphics frameworks Motion graphics experience using After Effects, Cinema 4D, or similar tools Accessibility engineering experience, including dynamic text, screen readers, and reduced-motion experiences #J-18808-Ljbffr
