Join us. Opportunity: ATI is seeking to hire a Process Engineer to support our Specialty Rolled Products business unit. This role will be based at our Plate Operations facility in Washington, PA. As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for process development and improvement, and quality cost control. Daily interaction with production workers, operations supervision, and other technical personnel throughout the company is expected. This position is in our technical band and reports directly to the Manager, Process Engineering.Essential Functions: Responsible for process development and improvementResolving quality-related issues and troubleshooting process related problems.Responsible for quality cost controlOff standard product dispositions and resolving quality-related issuesInteraction with production workers on a daily basis on quality-related issuesYield and product quality improvement projectsEnsure product meets customer specificationSupport customer new product qualificationInterface with customers to resolve complaints and rejectionsJob RequirementsBasic QualificationsCandidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering STEM degrees and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of the three majors aboveExperience with process analysis, conducting controlled experiments and the ability to summarize data is also a requirementPreferred QualificationsPrior experience with processing of titanium, steel or nickel alloys is strongly desiredTotal Rewards ATI has a Total Rewards package to attract and retain top talent.
