Tech - X-ray/Rad Tech

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides diagnostic imaging services using X-ray technology to support accurate patient diagnosis and care. Works closely with medical staff to perform imaging procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain X-ray equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' internal structures.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain accurate documentation in clinical charts.
• Float between pediatric imaging locations and other facilities as needed to meet staffing demands.
• Respond promptly to on-call requests, reporting within one hour of notification.
• Adhere to facility policies regarding patient care, safety, and operational procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold ARRT certification in radiologic technology and a valid SC license prior to start.
• Have at least one year of X-ray or radiologic imaging experience, including pediatric imaging.
• Possess BLS certification and radiation badge (agency provided).
• Demonstrate proficiency in using C-arm and, if possible, O-arm imaging systems.
• Show flexibility to float across multiple pediatric imaging sites and facilities.
• Prior trauma and pediatrics experience preferred but not required.
