- Develop Customized Treatment Plans: Assess individual patient needs and create tailored therapy strategies that help them reach their rehabilitation goals.
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply proven methods to improve patients' motor skills, cognitive functions, and everyday activities.
- Collaborate with an Interdisciplinary Team: Engage with other OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to deliver all-encompassing, patient-centered care.
- Educate Patients and Caregivers: Instruct patients and their families on therapy practices to encourage recovery outside the treatment environment.
- Track and Document Progress: Monitor clinical developments and modify treatment approaches to align with patient progress.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational institution
- Commitment to ongoing education and advanced certifications supported and encouraged
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license required
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) credential mandatory
- A strong desire to help others achieve their greatest level of independence
- Compassionate communication with patients, families, and fellow professionals
