Role Description The Project Manager Sales Marketing is a full-time hybrid role based in San Diego, CA, with flexibility for some work from home. This role manages commercial flooring projects from initial lead and bid through installation and closeout, coordinating closely with estimators, installers, contractors, and internal support teams. Daily responsibilities include developing and nurturing client relationships, preparing and presenting proposals, managing project schedules and budgets, and monitoring job progress to ensure quality and safety standards are met. The role also contributes to sales and marketing efforts by identifying new business opportunities, supporting marketing campaigns, and gathering market intelligence on competitors and industry trends. The Project Manager Sales Marketing documents project milestones, addresses issues proactively, and communicates clearly with stakeholders to keep projects on track and aligned with customer expectations. Qualifications Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating multiple projects in a commercial construction or flooring environment. Experience in sales and account management, with the ability to identify opportunities, build long‑term client relationships, and close commercial projects. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills for working with contractors, designers, vendors, and internal teams. Solid organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail in documentation, contracts, and change orders. Familiarity with construction or flooring materials, specifications, and installation processes; willingness to learn product lines such as carpet, vinyl, wood, tile, and specialty surfaces. Proficiency with common office and project tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, project management or CRM software) and comfort working in a hybrid office/field environment. Ability to visit project sites in the San Diego area, assess conditions, and collaborate with field teams and customers. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
