Key responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist include:
- Provide respiratory care to patients as prescribed by physicians
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures
- Monitor and assess patient responses to therapy
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist include:
- Active Respiratory Therapist license in Illinois
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred
