Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric CVICU RN with at least 2 years of CVICU experience and current PALS/NRP certification for a specialized cardiac ICU position.

Details

• Work in a new, specialized 8-bed Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU connected to a 14-bed PICU
• Care for pediatric cardiac patients both pre and post operatively
• Collaborate closely with the surgical team and intensivist team
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• 36 hours per week with every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• On-call availability required
• Flexible scheduling needed to accommodate surgical cases
• Float to PICU, Peds, and NICU units as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (AHA)
• NRP and NRP Advanced certification (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics) required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• US Social Security Number and US home address required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide specialized critical care nursing to pediatric cardiac surgical patients
• Work within a collaborative surgical and intensivist care team model
• Subject to a radius rule that may reduce pay rate for local candidates
• First-time travelers may be considered
