Job Description
ICU Float Pool RN

Schedule

Night shifts from 19:00-07:30. Options for 36- or 48-hour shifts available. Weekend requirement: at least 6 weekend shifts every 6-week period. Pre-approved time off: 1 shift per contract.

Assignment Details

This position involves floating to various units including MS, Tele, PCU, Overflow PACU, and Stepdown. EKG exam administered on the first day of orientation is required to pass to continue.

Requirements

• Valid, active nursing license in the state.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
• Experience with pulmonary artery (PA/Swan-Ganz) line required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (must be current).
• Preferred: CCRN certification, CRRT experience.
• Experience with Epic EMR system is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients with complex medical conditions in the ICU.
• Conduct assessments and develop nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Support ventilator management and care for ventilated patients.
• Perform arterial/central line management and blood product administration.

Compliance / Notes

Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine is not required. Background checks and references are mandatory before starting the position.
