Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Amergis is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide community-based care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role requires a valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (no CNA-specific duties are involved). You'll assist with daily activities like personal care, housekeeping, recreational outings, transportation, and more. DSPs work directly with individuals either in residential settings or community-based programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily activities such as personal care, recreational activities, community integration, and transportation.
• Assist with housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Document progress and ensure confidentiality of all information.
• Maintain professional relationships with individuals, families, and guardians.
• Report any health, safety, or behavioral concerns following company policies.

Requirements

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required (no CNA-specific duties involved).
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least six months of experience in human services is preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Completion of all state-required training within mandated timeframes.
