Outside Sales Representative – Agricultural & Industrial Equipment

Fair Manufacturing Inc. | Yankton, SD (National Territory) | Full-time | $80,000–$100,000 base + commission

Fair Manufacturing Inc., a third-generation family-owned manufacturer of agricultural and industrial equipment, is hiring an Outside Sales Representative to grow our national dealer network and direct customer base. For over 60 years we've built equipment that farmers, ranchers, and agricultural professionals rely on every day — and this role is the front line of that relationship.

What you'll do

You'll manage and grow a national sales territory, splitting your time between developing relationships with dealers and distributors and selling directly to farmers, ranchers, and agricultural operations. That means prospecting and closing new accounts, maintaining and growing existing relationships, representing Fair Manufacturing at trade shows and industry events, and serving as the primary point of contact for your customers from first conversation through post-sale support. Travel is a real part of this role — expect to be on the road 50–75% of the time.

What we're looking for

Proven outside sales experience, ideally in agricultural equipment, heavy equipment, or a related industrial industry. You should understand how farmers and dealers think, what they need from an equipment manufacturer, and how to build the kind of long-term relationships that drive repeat business. Strong communication, self-discipline, and the ability to manage a large territory independently are essential. A genuine passion for agriculture and the people who work in it will go a long way here. CDL or ability to get a CDL is required.

Compensation: $80,000–$100,000 base salary plus commission. Company vehicle and travel expenses covered.

Schedule: Monday–Friday with travel as needed. Flexible schedule based on territory demands.
