Job Title: Manufacturing Painter Job Description

Join a dynamic sign fabrication company in Yakima as a Plastic Paint Technician. This role involves preparing, painting, and finishing plastic sign components using specialized techniques and equipment. While an automotive or industrial painting background is ideal, we welcome motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude. Residential or commercial painting experience is also valuable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare plastic signage components for painting through cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface preparation.
• Apply primers, paints, and finishes using spray equipment.
• Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and defects.
• Touch up and rework painted components as necessary.
• Maintain paint booth equipment and ensure work area cleanliness.
• Adhere to all safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with production teams to meet customer deadlines.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Experience in paint preparation and application.
• Familiarity with industrial painting and spray gun techniques.
• Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout a 10-hour shift.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Attention to detail and strong attendance and punctuality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in automotive or industrial painting.
• background in manufacturing finishing or coating operations.
• Experience with powder coating or spray booth operations.
• Skills in paint mixing and color matching.
• Experience in residential or commercial house painting is considered.

Work Environment

The work environment involves manufacturing, sign fabrication, assembly, metal fabrication, and machine operation. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, offering a full-time, long-term opportunity.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Yakima, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
