CT Technologist PRN

CT TechnologistRAYUS Radiology is looking for a CT Technologist to join our team. As a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, you will be responsible for operating assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide CT services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.This is a temporary (PRN) position working variable days and shifts. Choose the hours you work! We offer additional pay differentials for PRN status in addition to evening and weekend shift differential pay!ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:(90%) Patient CT ImagingScreens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedureExplains and prepares patients for scanning imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriatelyPerforms routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedureAdjusts scanning scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriateFollows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirementsMaintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers(5%) CT/Imaging Department SupportAssists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgradesMonitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessaryAssists with training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable(5%) Completes other tasks as assignedRequired:High School diploma, or equivalentGraduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiographyARRT registered technologist, current and in good standingLicensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicableCurrent Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificationMust have sufficient training and experience to competently perform CT procedures independentlyCertification in imaging specialtyPreferred:BilingualRAYUS is committed to delivering clinical excellence in communities across the U.S., driven by our passion for and superior service to referring providers and patients.
