About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Orthopedics – Colorado

Start Date: August 31, 2026

Location: Thornton, Colorado

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; 5:1 patient ratio on a 29-bed unit with overflow capacity

Highlights:

• Medical-Surgical Orthopedics unit specializing in post-operative surgical patients
• Remote telemetry monitoring with cardiac drip experience including Amiodarone, Diltiazem, and Heparin
• Night shift team includes charge nurse, 8 RNs, and ACT support from 10:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• EMR system: Meditech
• High-energy, collaborative unit culture focused on teamwork and positive patient outcomes
• Travel RN assignment with comprehensive support

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 1 year of current Medical-Surgical RN experience in an acute care setting (required)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• Prior Meditech experience (preferred)
