Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | 2 out of 3 major holidays or as needed based on unit needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Med Surg ICU setting serving adult and pediatric patients (15 years and older) with diagnoses including respiratory failure, ARDS, MODS, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock, renal failure, GI bleeds, and general/cancer-specific surgeries
• Titrate drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
• Manage and monitor patients with CVPs, A-lines, Swans, EV-1000, ICP monitoring, and respiratory support ranging from nasal cannula to mechanical ventilation
• Read and interpret cardiac monitoring using Draeger heart monitoring with centralized telemetry (no monitor techs on unit)
• Collaborate with attendings, fellows, and residents to deliver high-quality, team-based patient care
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, excluding Maternity/NICU

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips independently
• Must achieve a passing score of 90% or higher on unit orientation skills exam
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with CRRT, Impella, or intra-aortic balloon pump
• Familiarity with neurosurgical patients or thrombectomy programs
• Experience with hypothermia protocols or rapid transfusion devices
