Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Houston, TX

Embark on a rewarding contract position supporting students' communication needs in a fast-growing educational environment. This opportunity is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) passionate about fostering language and speech development in a diverse school community. Serving primarily onsite across one or occasionally two schools, you'll be part of a collaborative setting where you can make a meaningful impact.


Key Qualifications:

  • Active SLP License in Texas
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are also welcome
  • Experience or genuine interest in school-based speech-language services
  • Willingness to supervise SLP Assistants if holding CCCs
  • Comfortable managing a caseload of around 60 students
  • Strong diagnostic, treatment planning, and progress monitoring skills
  • Excellent communication and organization abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Deliver speech and language therapy to students across elementary and primary school levels
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Assess, diagnose, and monitor progress for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes
  • Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants as required
  • Travel between nearby school sites, if needed, with most assignments housed at a single campus
