Join our dynamic team today and find a rewarding career with a company that values you and all you bring to the table.About Your Role:As a Special Projects Project Manager at Dollar Tree's corporate office, you'll lead the planning and execution of capital expenditure (CAPEX) initiatives that support our store growth and operational objectives. You'll manage a variety of special projects, including refrigeration programs, remodels, refreshes, fixture upgrades, and store enhancements, while partnering with internal teams, vendors, contractors, and field operations to ensure successful project delivery.Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:Project Planning & ExecutionPlan and execute designated CAPEX Special Projects across the store portfolioManage all refrigeration installations, including new store openings, relocations, expansions, retrofits, and replacementsPartner with Operations and Store Planning teams to define project scope, objectives, and timelinesEnsure projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and aligned with company standardsTravel as needed to assess project requirements and evaluate completed projectsSpecial Projects ManagementDécor changesCheckout modificationsGondola additions and replacementsBalloon fixture and display installationsStore remodels and renovationsRollout initiativesStore refresh programsRefrigeration installations and upgradesOffice and break room improvementsVendor & Contractor ManagementSelect, coordinate, and evaluate vendors and contractors supporting CAPEX projectsClearly communicate project scope, expectations, and timelines to external partnersProvide immediate direction and support when installation challenges ariseReview contractor performance and recommend process improvements based on project learningsFoster strong relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholdersOperational Support & Continuous ImprovementResolve project-related issues involving store layouts, scheduling, and installationsIdentify and recommend process improvements to senior construction leadershipPrepare and distribute construction communications and project updates to field teamsReview and approve project quotations, material requirements, and invoicesEnsure compliance with Dollar Tree construction and operational standardsYour Required Skills and Experience:Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail construction, store development, project management, or a related fieldDemonstrated knowledge of retail construction processes and project executionProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong project planning, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teamsAbility to effectively collaborate with vendors, contractors, architects, engineers, and internal business partnersApproximately 15% travel required to support business needsPreferred Requirements:Technical training or experience in mechanical, electrical, or structural disciplinesBachelor's degree in Management, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related fieldFamiliarity with retail fixturing, store planning, store operations, or merchandisingSelf-directed professional with an innovative mindset and strong execution skillsExperience leading construction-related capital projects in a retail environmentOur success is a team effort — when we reach our goals, you'll be eligible for a yearly bonus!Start Rate = $68,000 -$81,000 based on experience and 20% bonus!Your Perks and Benefits:We offer a wide variety of rewards to support your health, wealth, and mental well-being.
