Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Lewiston, Maine. The role involves providing comprehensive labor and delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care within a Level 3 trauma designated facility. The RN will manage obstetric patient triage, assist with deliveries, and support postpartum and nursery procedures in a fast-paced maternity unit.

Job Details

• Location: Lewiston, Maine
• Schedule: Nights, 6:45 PM 7:15 AM (3x12 shifts)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
• Shift: Nights
• Required Qualifications: Valid licenses and certifications including NRP (REQUIRED), BLS (REQUIRED), ACLS; minimum of 2+ years of experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and C-Section circulation; trained in labor and delivery, postpartum, C-section circulation, and special care nursery; experience managing a three couplet assignment, triage of obstetrical patients, use of External Fetal Heart Monitoring, post-dural anesthesia/epidural pain management, and neonatal assessments.
• Preferred Qualifications: Intermediate level AWHONN certification, experience in Level 1 nursery, mother/baby, circulating for C-Sections.
• Additional Notes: No float rotation required.
• Unit Information: 24-bed maternity unit, patient ratios approximately 1:6, equipped with Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), Infant Ventilators (IVE), and Radiant Warmers.
• Responsibilities: Manage obstetric triage, assist with vaginal deliveries and C-sections, neonatal assessment, administer antihypertensive and insulin infusions, manage epidural analgesia, and postpartum care.
