Description: 3W Cardiac Telemetry unit requires a Registered Nurse for night shifts. The shift runs from 19:00 to 07:30. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac telemetry. Previous travel nurse experience is required. Telemetry patients include those with primary or secondary cardiac diagnoses, primary stroke/TIA, and stable cardiac catheterization patients. Registered Nurses will be responsible for the care of up to 5-6 patients. The unit has 30 beds and utilizes advanced equipment such as portable phones and IV pumps. Floating within the specialty and lower acuity areas may be required. Weekend work every other weekend is expected, along with holiday shifts as scheduled. Care includes managing cardiac drips, performing telemetry monitoring, and skilled interventions for patients in acute conditions. Nurses must interpret dysrhythmias and adhere to isolation precautions. Candidates should have familiarity with charting systems, particularly Community Hospital. Candidates must be comfortable with required compliance standards. Additional certifications may be necessary for the onboarding process.
