You will be expected to consistently meet patient care productivity standards, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a positive customer service environment.To be successful in this role, you must possess strong age-appropriate competency skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.Administers therapeutic exercises and physical therapy modalities according to the physical therapy plan of careInstructs, motivates and assists patients to learn and improve functional activity, such as pre?ambulation, transfer, ambulation and daily living activitiesObserves patients during treatments, assesses, and compiles data on patients' responses to treatments and progress and reports verbally or in writing to the physical therapist; may communicate updates to physiciansFits patients for, adjusts, and trains patients in the use and care of orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, walkers and wheelchairsMay perform clerical dutiesPromotes and supports positive and professional customer service, while interacting with clients, guests and hospital personnel. Works collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary team, other departments and disciplines to assure patients and customer's needs are met in a timely manner.
