Fund Accounting Manager- Alternative Investments (Miami-Fort Lauderdale Area)

A leading global alternative investment manager is looking to add a Fund Accounting Manager to its growing Miami office.

This is a strong opportunity for someone coming from Big 4/public accounting, fund administration or an alternative asset manager who is looking to move into a highly visible in-house role with exposure across a diverse portfolio of alternative investment strategies.

This position will sit within an established Fund Finance group and work closely with investment teams and other key stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities:

• Own the accounting and financial reporting process for a portfolio of alternative investment funds.
• Review monthly and quarterly NAV packages prepared by third-party fund administrators.
• Oversee capital calls, distributions, investor allocations, and partnership accounting.
• Review management fees, incentive/performance fees and other fund-level calculations.
• Coordinate quarterly and annual financial reporting, including audited financial statements.
• Support new fund launches, restructurings, liquidations, and other strategic initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and automation across the Fund Finance function.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant experience within Big 4/public accounting, fund accounting, fund administration, or alternative asset management.
• Experience supporting Hedge Funds, Private Credit, Private Equity, Fund-of-Funds or other alternative investment vehicles.
• Strong understanding of NAV reporting, partnership accounting, capital activity, management/performance fees and financial statements.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across internal and external stakeholders.
