Supervisor-Mission Integration & Spiritual Care

Pay Range $29.55 - $44.32 per hour. Pay rate based on relevant experience, skills, training, certifications, and education. Position Overview The Supervisor-Mission Integration & Spiritual Care, in collaboration with the System Manager of Mission and Spiritual Care, leads the market in mission and spiritual care. This role promotes spiritual programs and activities that support the Health System's mission, core values, Catholic identity, and strategic goals. It includes collaborating with leaders, colleagues, volunteers, patients, and families as the organization advances its strategic plan toward better health by nurturing physician alignment and expanding the site of care transformation. Key Responsibilities Assist the System Manager of Mission and Spiritual Care in leading the Market in the areas of Mission and Spiritual Care. Promote spiritual programs and activities that support HSHS mission, core values, Catholic identity, and strategic goals. Collaborate with leaders, colleagues, volunteers, patients, and families to advance the organizational strategic plan. Support partner ministries with a weekly travel requirement of 70–75%. Position Specifics Department: Mission Integration Core Function: Corporate Services Schedule: Full-time/Day Shift Facility: St. Mary's Location: Decatur, IL Weekly Hours: 40 Education & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in theology, scripture, spirituality, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred. CPE Requirements: Minimum of 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at an ACPE-accredited center required. Must obtain within 1 year of hire if not already held. 2–4 units preferred. Experience: 3 years working with Catholic Health Care, Mission or Spiritual Care, or related experience required; membership in good standing within a faith community required; at least one year of progressively more responsible leadership experience required; experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook; comfortable navigating digital applications such as Workday, Microsoft Teams, Halo, Epic, Zoom, or Webex. Chaplaincy: 2 years chaplaincy experience within a health care setting preferred. Certifications: Certification with National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), Association of Professional Chaplains (APC), Neshama‑Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC), or Canadian Association of Spiritual Care (CASC) required.
