Responsibilities Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention. Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner. Responds promptly to patient requests and strives to anticipate and resolve patient needs proactively. Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow‑up measures, translating complex terminology for full understanding. Teaches about non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes; prepares patients and families for future self‑management. Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date. Registered Nurse (RN). Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma. No travel required.
