Job Description Job Description Duties: Job Summary: Under the direction of a registered nurse or physician and under assigned administrative supervision, provides care within the scope of the Vocational Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards. Assists in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Follows patient identification procedures, provides appropriate information for all patient procedures, and collects and handles specimens. Assesses and implements prescribed interventions for the patient. Implements and documents discharge plan for each patient. Recognizes that ethical/legal/medical dilemmas exist in the nursing practice and confers with the appropriate resource personnel when making ethical nursing decisions. Participates in maintaining a safe patient care environment. Assist with the care and maintenance of department equipment. Complete and accurate charting of patient records. Complete and accurate record keeping of equipment and quality measures. Collaborate with other disciplines of the health care team to ensure the delivery of care across the continuum, providing timely, safe and quality care. Responsible for providing a safe, HIPAA compliant environment for the patient and the staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Skills: Required Skills & Experience: One or more years of experience in a healthcare care facility. Understands philosophy of hospice concept. Understands needs of the terminally ill. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order. Preferred Skills & Experience: Community health/hospice or medical/surgical experience. Basic keyboarding skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel -Basic knowledge of medical terminology -Experience with Electronic Medical Records Education: Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred Education: N/A Required Certifications & Licensure: Current LVN License to practice in the State of California -Current BLS Certification - AHA Preferred Certifications & Licensure: Phlebotomy Certification This is the pay range that RightSourcing (a part of Magnit) reasonably expects to pay someone for this position, however, as a supplier your expected pay range may vary and/or include certain benefits like: Stipends (for clinical TRAVELER roles only), Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K [include any compulsory benefits such as commissions, incentive bonuses, etc. if applicable].
