Infant, Toddler, and Two's Classroom Teacher

We are looking for a full-time Infant, Toddler, and Two's Classroom Teacher who is passionate about the early childhood field and is interested in being part of a team of quality early childhood educators that is building a community of faith that ministers to the whole family while implementing an emergent curriculum .

• Full-time, Hourly
• 40 hours per week, varied between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm
• $22 to $24/hour, dependent on education and experience.

Prospective applicants should have a strong child development background, infants through preschool, and at least 12 core units, plus 3 units of Infant Toddler .

Responsibilities and Duties

• Stimulates emotional, spiritual, intellectual, and social growth of children by encouraging their interests, investigations, through questions and exploration.
• Encourages children's participation by providing interactive emergent activities.
• Provides a safe environment.
• Works well in a team teaching environment, is able to follow instruction, and is able to take initiative in getting classroom duties/responsibilities done.
• Maintains the center's professional status by understanding and following policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

• At least 12 core units , pl us 3 units of infant toddler
• CPR/First Aid Certified
• Record of Immunizations: current TB test clearance, pertussis, measles, annual influenzas
• Hours: 40 hours per week, varied between 7:00 am-6:00 pm
• Starting salary ranges between $22 to $24/hour depending on education and experience

Benefits

The employee may choose from one of the following options:

• Kaiser Medical/United Concordia HMO Dental Plan
• Tuition Discount — 50% discount on the monthly tuition for employee’s child(ren) attending Good Shepherd Preschool, dependent on space availability. Maximum monthly benefit is $750 . The $150 registration fee is also waived.
• Cash in lieu of Benefits — Flat rate of $150 per month ($75 per pay period) taxable income. In order to receive this benefit, you must complete a Group Health Insurance Declination of Coverage form, and have minimum essential coverage, not in an individual plan.
