Job Opportunity – Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Hospitalist – Vermont
Start Date: December 2026 and ongoing
Location: Vermont
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM; in-person presence in unit/hospital during shift; No call coverage required
Highlights:
- 100% adult inpatient and observation population with an average census of 8-10 patients per day

- EMR system: Cerner Community Works with AI scribe support for documentation efficiency
- Work alongside a strong overnight hospitalist physician team and robust case management support
- Manage observation, inpatient floor, and intermediate level of care patients; ventilator management experience preferred
- Long-term locum opportunity with flexible duration for the right candidate
Requirements:
- Acute Care APRN certification with all required Nurse Practitioner certifications
- Board Certified
- Vermont state license (or willingness to obtain)
- 2-3 years of hospitalist or inpatient adult medicine experience required
- Clean background with no malpractice or licensing issues
- NPDB report required at time of offer (within 30 days)
- Ability to respond to codes and rapid responses; stabilization and transfer management of critically ill patients
