Housekeeping Supervisor II

Key Responsibilities Perform quality control inspections of all assigned buildings, dormitories, bathrooms, walkways, and lounges; identify deficiencies and coordinate with maintenance. Check cleaning supply closets for neatness, adequacy, labeling, and restock supplies as needed. Inspect the dining hall daily to ensure cleanliness, proper stocking, and availability of clean linen; cooperate with maintenance for equipment upkeep. Train work crew housekeepers and help develop duty schedules; meet daily with housekeeper bosses to coordinate cleaning efforts. Fill in for housekeepers on their days off and complete critical housekeeping chores; physically capable of stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds of linens. Assist the work crew during camper changeovers by thoroughly cleaning dorms, changing bed linens, and carrying loads of dirty linen between buildings. Participate in scheduled camping staff devotionals. Provide Christ‑like hospitality, respond promptly and professionally to guest needs, and represent Young Life positively within the community. Qualifications High school education with proficiency in reading and writing English. Three to five years of experience as a housekeeping supervisor in a large hotel or camp property. Belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and subscription to Young Life’s Statement of Faith. Working Conditions Physical tasks require lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and pulling. Exposure to cleaning chemicals. Work outdoors in changing weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow). Position located in the Plumas National Forest; remote area with limited city amenities.
