Power BI Developer

Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience developing enterprise Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic data models.

• Proficiency in DAX formulas, including calculated columns, measures, and custom calculations.

• Experience with data modeling, including row/column-level security and reusable semantic models within Power BI.

• Experience connecting to diverse data sources (APIs, SQL databases, GIS layers, streaming datasets) for extraction and transformation.

• Experience with Power BI Service deployment, including access controls, refresh automation, and performance optimization using DAX Studio.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders and gather evolving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and data analysts to gather requirements and define reporting/visualization objectives.

• Design and document conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business needs.

• Connect to various data sources, ensuring seamless extraction, transformation, and integration.

• Write DAX formulas and build calculated columns, measures, and custom calculations for reports.

• Design and develop interactive dashboards, incorporating slicers, visuals, and drill-through functionality.

• Publish reports to Power BI Service, manage access controls, automate refresh schedules, and optimize performance for large datasets.
