• Monitor patients closely throughout the perioperative period
• Ensure surgical protocols, safety procedures, and patient-care standards are followed
• Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient surgery area
• Help identify opportunities to improve our surgical and anesthesia processes
• Train and mentor other technicians and assistants in surgery, anesthesia, patient monitoring, and surgical protocols
• Provide hands-on coaching and constructive feedback to help team members build confidence and competency
• Help establish consistency in how our team prepares, monitors, and cares for surgical patients
• Work closely with our veterinarians and hospital manager to ensure excellent patient care and efficient surgical days What We're Looking For
• Licensed/credentialed veterinary technician preferred, but highly experienced veterinary technicians will be considered
• Strong hands-on experience with surgery and anesthesia
• Confident with anesthetic monitoring and patient recovery
• Comfortable working independently and anticipating the needs of the veterinarian
• Excellent attention to detail
• Organized, dependable, and calm under pressure
• Strong communication skills
• A positive, team-oriented attitude
• Enjoys teaching and mentoring others
• Willingness to hold team members accountable to proper surgical and patient-care standards
• Someone who takes pride in doing things correctly and wants to help others become better technicians Schedule 20-30 hours per week , primarily focused on surgical days.
