Job Summary

Medical Technologist (MT) — located in the healthcare organization’s acute care setting. This position involves performing clinical laboratory testing in areas such as Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Serology, Microbiology, and Blood Banking. The role supports the laboratory’s diagnostic processes, ensuring quality and timely test results while working within a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Position Title: Medical Technologist (MT)
• Schedule: Night shifts from 7:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a guaranteed 30 hours one week and 40 hours the following week, on a 7 on/7 off rotation
• Certifications: Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) via American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) — no contact with patients required
• Education Requirements: MLT certification, ASCP/AMT certification preferred
• Experience: Minimum two years of laboratory testing experience in a clinical setting
• Location Requirements: No contact with patients, generalist skill set preferred
• Department: Laboratory testing across Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Serology, Microbiology, and Blood Bank (no crossmatch)
• Laboratory Equipment Used: LIS system (Polytech, Avalon, Orchard Software, Apollo, Prolis, BioTracer, etc.), Epic Beaker EMR, DXC/DXI analyzers, Sysmex XN-2000, CA 2500, IRIS, Clinitek, SafeTrace, Lab Manager
• Additional Information: Role involves clinical profile review, adherence to laboratory standards, and utilization of various laboratory equipment. No phlebotomy required.
