Take your expertise in speech-language pathology to an educational setting and make a real difference for 3rd to 6th grade students. A contract opportunity is available in a supportive school environment, working with a diverse and engaging caseload. This onsite position allows you to collaborate directly with school staff and students, fostering meaningful connections and advancing communication skills across key developmental years.
Ideal candidates will bring experience in school-based speech-language services and thrive in a two-day-per-week schedule, offering flexibility while making a significant impact.
Qualifications:
- Valid ABESPA AL SLP Certification and/or AL SLP DOE Certification (one required to start; can secure the other while onboarding)
- Clinical Certification of Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience working with school-aged populations, preferably in grades 3-6
- Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy to students in 3rd through 6th grade
- Complete evaluations, write reports, and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain thorough records and submit documentation in accordance with school requirements
- Attend relevant meetings and participate in school initiatives as needed
