As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Detail in Chesapeake, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. DayTimeMon01:45 PM - 06:00 PMTue01:45 PM - 06:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed conditions and sharing relevant information with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and/or potential policy violations.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization as directed by site procedures, and report discrepancies according to post orders.
- Support access control, perimeter awareness, and incident reporting activities while working in environments and conditions that may vary across the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
