Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Per Diem

Athena Hospice of Rhode Island is seeking a per diem Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our growing team! As a CNA, you will provide exceptional care to patients in their homes across the entire state of Rhode Island. This is an on-the-road position that requires travel and a reliable vehicle. $22 to $24 an hour with weekly pay.

Responsibilities:

• Perform personal care needs for assigned patients, including bathing, dressing, undressing, and feeding
• Assist with oral hygiene, shampoos, and changing bed linens as needed
• Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
• Provide proper care and observation of the patient's skin to prevent breakdown of tissue over bony prominences
• Meet the safety needs of the patient and use equipment safely and properly
• Assist with ambulation and exercise as instructed by the hospice nurse or therapist
• Provide a normal range of motion and transfers/positioning as directed
• Offer and assist with bedpans and urinals, and help with light laundry needs

Requirements:

• Must hold an active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant license in RI
• At least one year of experience as a CNA
