Workplace Compliance Coordinator

Job Summary/Position Overview The primary responsibility of the Workforce Compliance Coordinator is to supervise and coordinate all personnel investigations, district leave options, work accommodations/restrictions, and training related to workforce compliance topics. Serves as the District's key point of contact and primary subject matter expert on all District investigation and leave matters. JOB TITLE: Work Force Compliance Coordinator REPORTS TO Superintendent EMPLOYMENT TERMS Employment terms covering compensation, benefits, and working conditions are specified by the Board of Education's policies, procedures, and agreements. Annual salary based on position title. 11 months, Full benefits. FLSA Status: Exempt Qualifications Education and Experiences Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related area required. Five years of experience in Human Resources, Education Law, and experience in Labor Relations preferred, not required. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Society for Human Resource Management, Professional in Human Resources, Senior Professional in Human Resources, Professional in Human Resources, Professional Human Capital Leader in Education, Juris Doctor, and Esquire preferred, not required. Duties And Responsibilities For the management of Workforce Compliance. Responsible for the supervision, coordination, preparation, and facilitation of District personnel investigation matters. Responsible for determining the placement of an employee on leave pending a District investigation of all personnel based on a possible violation of federal/state law or District policy. Coordinates with Human Resources and the Superintendent regarding recommendations/outcomes of District investigations for all staff. Prepares legal documents, such as but not limited to: Settlements/Separation Agreements, Formal Notices of Deficiencies, and Charges. Coordinates and manages due process meetings. Manages all subpoena requests for personnel records. Coordinates and manages requests for legal documents from outside legal counsel related to personnel items. Receives, manages, and is responsible for the receipt of all EEOC, MCHR, and Lawsuits filed by personnel. Acts as the liaison between Jennings School District and Insurance carriers related to all EEOC, MCHR, and Lawsuits filed by personnel. Coordinates and manages requests for work accommodation/restrictions for all staff. Coordinates and manages the District's FMLA program. Prepares and conducts training related to Human Resources procedures/topics. Receives and responds to letters, emails, and telephone inquiries regarding Board policies, Joint Resolutions, District practices, and employee labor and relations-related items. Participates in meet and confer sessions as assigned. Implements District and governmental policies, procedures, and mandates related to employment. Coordinates said activities with Human Resources and the Superintendent. Develops District policies and procedures relating to employee labor and relations. Technical Skills Proficiency in using various platforms; HRIS, Infinite Campus, SISFIN Proficiency in project management tools Ability to use data analytics and reporting Skills in the use of Document Management Systems Physical Requirements While performing the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, stand, move and walk at a brisk pace, sit, and use hands and arms to handle, feel, and reach. The employee is occasionally required to stoop or kneel and occasionally lift and move up to 30 pounds. Additionally, the employee must be physically able to implement all Board of Education Policies and District procedures. Environmental Requirements This position is based out of the District's administrative office with occasional travel to various locations throughout the District.
