Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - Certified Surgical Technologist/CST

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital Operating Room requiring two years of large OR experience. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of current experience in a large OR setting required HS Diploma or GED required, along with completion of a Surgical Technician training program or graduation from an accredited school Certified Surgical Technician credential from NBSTSA or NCCT plus 10 years of experience accepted in lieu of program completion BLS certification required through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross CST certification through NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery certification through NCCT preferred Ortho, ENT, and/or vascular surgery experience a plus License required if applicable Strong teamwork skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Responsibilities Hospital Operating Room setting 10-hour day shifts from 0630-1700, 5 days per week, 40 hours weekly Floating between departments and/or local facilities within 20 miles is required Epic EMR experience preferred but not required, on-site training available Prepare and provide instruments and equipment during surgical procedures under the supervision of the surgeon Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts before and throughout procedures Maintain the sterile field and adhere to aseptic technique and safety protocols Prepare patient skin for surgical treatment and assist with patient positioning and repositioning during surgery Provide supportive care during the pre-operative phase and help monitor patients during surgery Ensure specimens are correctly handled and routed appropriately Maintain current knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and intraoperative medications Stay current with developments in the field through continuing education Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible Former Presbyterian Health Services perm staff must wait one year before being eligible as a traveler Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-777704 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler, LLC.
