What You'll Do

As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide hands-on support, guidance, and encouragement to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting individuals with daily living activities, including cooking, housekeeping, and personal hygiene
• Supporting medication administration and healthy living routines
• Helping individuals participate in shopping, recreation, transportation, and other community activities
• Encouraging communication, positive coping skills, friendships, and social development
• Assisting with budgeting and money-management skills
• Supporting individuals in achieving personal goals and developing greater independence
• Promoting dignity, respect, personal choice, and self-advocacy
• Helping maintain a safe, supportive, and welcoming home environment
• Following individualized service plans, organizational procedures, and required documentation practices
• Supporting the health, safety, and overall well-being of the individuals served

Qualifications

Required

• Must be at least 20 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to successfully complete state and federal criminal background checks
• Ability to successfully complete a drug screening
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment physical and PPD
• Willingness and ability to complete all required orientation and training
• Ability to perform the essential responsibilities of the position with or without reasonable accommodation

Schedule

• Part-Time
• Friday through Monday
• 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
• Weekend availability is required
• Saturday and Sunday shifts qualify for the weekend pay rate of $19.35 per hour
