Specialized Logistics Management Specialist

Position Description & Qualifications Serco offers a Specialized Logistics Management Specialist position within the Global Logistics Augmentation and Support Services (GLASS) team supporting the Army Sustainment Command (ASC) at Redstone Arsenal. This role requires expertise in Army logistics systems and an active Secret clearance. In this role, you will: Support multiple program functions for ASC’s Authorized Stockage Lists (ASL) and Shop Stock (SS) determinations. Develop and augment ASL/SS recommendation packages throughout the theater of operation. Review and implement ASL/SS Data Packages into GCSS‑A or a replacement supply system. Use decision‑support tools such as Oracle, TOAD, SQL, Business Intelligence Suite, and Microsoft Office to complete daily tasks. Perform performance trend analysis on all ASL/SS implementations, produce reports, and engage management for corrective actions. Assist in researching and responding to RFIs from various agencies. Analyze supply system policies, regulations, directives, and SOPs. Prepare reports, briefings, and information papers on current and changing requirements. Monitor logistical priorities through daily operations, teleconferences, workshops, and staff meetings. Maintain liaison with accountable officers, installation supply analysts, and staff. Provide inputs on operation requirements that impact the division or customer mission. Report contract obligations to the government. Travel to remote locations as required to support emerging requirements. To be successful in this role, you will have: An active Secret clearance. U.S. citizenship. A bachelor’s degree and at least eight years of experience as a Logistics Management Specialist. Functional knowledge of Army retail and wholesale logistics systems, including GCSS‑A and the Army Logistics Modernization Program. Comprehensive knowledge of planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing logistics activities. Ability to perform scheduled and ad‑hoc ASL/SS reviews based on performance indicators. Knowledge of logistics database development and supply procedures. Broader knowledge and utilization of Vantage, Oracle, TOAD, SQL, and GCSS‑A Business Intelligence tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access. Experience with analytical and evaluative methods for Army tactical units and other organizations. Understanding of Army, DoD, and other agency organizational structure, logistics policy, and processes. Ability to identify programmatic deficiencies and recommend enhancements. Skill in preparing procedures, information papers, briefings, and reports. Travel up to 10%.
