Housekeeping InspectorThe Housekeeping Inspector is responsible for inspecting the guest rooms, public areas and facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety and service standards are consistently met. This role works closely with the Housekeeping Supervisor and Housekeeping Manager to support quality assurance, operational efficiency and guest satisfaction by identifying deficiencies and ensuring corrective action is taking promptly.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:The following duties are representative but not all-inclusive:Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness and Granlibakken Tahoe standardsVerify rooms are guest-ready and meet company quality expectationsIdentify deficiencies and communicate corrections to housekeeping staff and supervisorSupport the Housekeeping Supervisor with daily room readiness and status updatesAssist with prioritizing rooms based on occupancy and operational needsComplete inspection report and checklists accurately and timelyTrack room status and communicate updates to the housekeeping office and Front DeskCommunicate quality trends or concerns to the Supervisor and ManagerTrain new employees on presentation of units and cleanlinessMonitor housekeeping carts, storage areas, and linen room for organizations and cleanlinessAssist the housekeepers with the assigned guest rooms, according to preset standards and proceduresDuties include, but are not limited to making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning bathrooms and vacuumingAssist in all housekeeping duties, stripping of units, cleaning common areas, and running things that guests or the front desk requestReplenish inventory such as house wares, and bathroom items according to preset standards and proceduresEnter, respond to and close maintenance system work orders as requiredReport maintenance problems immediatelyReport damages immediatelyFollow established chemical procedures and key control proceduresTurn in all articles found in vacated rooms immediately and handle according to lost and found proceduresProvide quality customer service to all guestsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferredExperience:One (1) year previous housekeeping or hotel experience required.Skills and Competencies:Basic knowledge in computer system preferredKnowledge of cleaning equipment, methods, and chemicals requiredAbility to work in a team environmentMust be reliable and maintain a positive and professional attitudeGood English communication skills required for interaction with hotel guests and staffBilingual is a bonusPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25-50 poundsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods of timeWork Environment:Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings as requiredExposure to varying weather conditions, including cold, snow, and ice during winter monthsFast-paced hospitality environment with frequent guest interactionWork Schedule And Hours:Ability to work flexible hoursSchedule may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidaysOvertime may be required based on business needsWork schedules are subject to change based on operational demandsCompensation:Pay range for this position: $22.00 – 24.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.Certifications:CPR/First Responder CertificationCompletion of required workplace training, including Sexual Harassment PreventionBenefits:Insurance - Health, Dental & LifeBonus ProgramPaid VacationProfit Sharing PlanPool, Gym & Recreation UseEmployee Meeting Space Rental DiscountsEmployee Lodging Rates and Friends and Family RatesEmployee Shift Meals and Food DiscountsShared Gold Pass for California Ski ResortsAbout Us:Whether you are a long term Lake Tahoe resident or relocate here as a skier, nature lover, adventure seeker, or to be apart of the community, Granlibakken is about connecting with what moves you.Today, these 74 wooded acres are family owned and just as picturesque as they were 100 years ago.
