As a Laundry Sorter , you’re not just preparing linens for washing and distribution – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

The Team at the Hilton Anaheim is currently seeking their next Laundry Sorter to join the housekeeping team.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and moving heavy bags, carts, and bundles of laundry.

• Dependable team player with strong attention to detail, capable of working effectively to support daily production goals while identifying stained, damaged, or worn linens requiring special handling, repair, or removal from service.

• Knowledge of proper laundry handling procedures, quality standards, and the safe use of laundry equipment and cleaning chemicals, with the ability to accurately sort, inspect, and organize linens according to established processing standards.

• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety policies and procedures.

• Previous experience in a commercial laundry, hospitality, healthcare, or dry-cleaning facility is preferred.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:

• Sort laundry with care: Pre-sort and separate linens by type and transport them to designated workstations
• Prepare linens for washing: Empty laundry chutes, load items onto belts or bins, and organize loads for washing
• Fold and finish clean linens: Use equipment to iron and fold mats, blankets, towels, and bedspreads for distribution
• Inspect for quality: Identify and separate laundry that requires mending, stain removal, or disposal
• Keep equipment running smoothly: Clean empty hampers and assist with washer and dryer operations as needed
