Atrium is seeking on behalf of our client a Legal Assistant based in Tampa, FL . A background check may be run only after a conditional offer is made, where permitted by law . Position: Legal Assistant Location: Tampa, FL Employment Type: Full-time Compensation: 65-85k Position Overview The Legal Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys, ensuring efficient case management and timely completion of tasks. This role involves document preparation, court filings, and client communication while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. The Legal Assistant will collaborate closely with attorneys and internal teams to support case preparation and overall firm operations. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Responsibilities Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements Prepare, revise, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and other case-related materials Handle electronic court filings (e-filing) in federal and state courts Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files, ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date Coordinate deadlines, court dates, and filing requirements to ensure timely submissionsCommunicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and internal teams in a professional manner Assist with billing, expense reports, document management, and other administrative tasks as needed Support attorneys with research, document collection, and case preparation for hearings, trials, or closings Required Experience/Skills Minimum 2+ years of Legal Assistant experience in a law firm environment E-filing experience is required Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems Preferred Experience/Skills Experience in tax law or litigation is preferred, but not required Real estate law experience is a plus Familiarity with billing systems and expense reporting tools Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Associate’s degree or paralegal certification preferred Additional legal or administrative training is a plus Benefits If eligible under the ACA, medical, dental and vision benefits and time off in accordance with local paid sick time laws will be offered.
