The unit operates at a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio and maintains a self-scheduling model. Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team; contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster.
