The Center ensures understanding and values differences in people of diverse cultures, ethnic origins, sexual orientation, disabilities and beliefs.Overview: The Counseling and Runaway and Homeless Youth (RHY) Department provides a continuum of essential services to the most vulnerable youth in our community, including two crisis nurseries, an emergency shelter, permanent and transitional housing, a food and clothing pantry, street outreach, and support for minor victims of commercial sexual exploitation.The Transitional Living Program Manager oversees the administrative responsibilities and the program development of two of The Center's transitional living programs (TLP) for homeless young adults ages 16-24: an apartment-based independent living program (Devonshire) and a group-living environment (Arnett House), as well as non-residential case management services. The goal of TLP is to provide care and support to youth in a safe and respectful environment, to work with them to build their independent skills, and address the issues that led to their homelessness so they can ultimately secure and maintain a stable living environment. This position supervises and supports program staff (Assistant Manager, Case Managers, Life Skills Specialists, and Relief Staff) with professional development, including competency in trauma-informed interventions that foster mutually respectful relationships with residents in the program. This is a twelve (12) month full-time position.Schedule: Full Time 35 hours per week. On-Call RHY Supervisor rotation (for 1 week, every 6-7 weeks). This emergency response system is intended to provide after-hours and weekend support to several residential programsResponsibilities:Oversight of outreach, service delivery, utilization, and efficacy, including: data collection, outcome measurement, record keeping, and report generationPersonnel recruitment, screening, hiring, orientation, training, and support through supervision and professional development planningMonitors apartments/office conditions and works with the Facilities Director to address maintenance issuesNetworking/partnering with other youth-serving agencies to coordinate the effective use of resourcesMaintenance of appropriate therapeutic relationship, including compliance with the agency's Code of Ethics and/or other professional code of conduct, as appropriateCrisis response and interventionClient Screening, Intake, and AssessmentOversight of the development, implementation, ongoing assessment, and coordination of client case management needs, services, and plansClient advocacy, as needed and appropriateTransportation of program participants, as required and consistent with agency policyRequired Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Service or related field AND e years' management or supervisor experience OR equivalent combination / Master's Degree preferredDriver's licenseSkills: Strong Knowledge of child and adolescent developmentKnowledge of youth serving systemsStrong time management and multi-tasking skillsExcellent literacy and communication skillsKnowledge of community resourcesAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft OfficePay Rate: $29-$32 per hour The Center for Youth Provides Equal Employment Opportunities
