Candidates must be able to work overnight shift, 9:00pm to 5:30am Sunday thru Thursday.Axalta Coating Systems (Company Website Link)Overview:Operations Technical Support Technician reports and adjusts Key Adjustable Tests (KATs) to achieve Ok-To-Fill (OTF) status for production batches and provides support to the Chemists / Engineers in the manufacturing process of OEM coating products.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Safely load, test, filter, and transport small batch materials in a lab environmentPrep samples and label substratesAdjust production for color by following the best practice processUnderstand the hazards inherent to the process and area, adhere to all safety policiesTest / AnalyzeAccurately run and record wet properties (wet color, pH & viscosity) and film buildCalculate necessary pH & viscosity adjustments for production batchesDetermine OTF status when KATs are in specAssist Chemists with customers requested color directionAssist in problem-solving of customer and production issues using appropriate methodology (i.e.5Y)Maintain equipment PMCManage lab suppliesSafely handle, categorize and dispose of chemicals on a routine basisSpraySet up, spray and evaluate Tank Wagon and Sub-Material Crater checksSpray production batches for color and collect color dataInterpret and communicate test/color/spray out resultsLoad and spray pilot workMaintain color vectorsCreate CCD dry plate standardAssist Chemists with formula-centering activities using Fit for Real Time Release (RTR) reporting and technologyMaintain, repair and operate a variety of conventional and electrostatic application equipmentOther JOB REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma required.
