Safety Coordinator

Must-Haves:

• OSHA 30 certification (minimum requirement)
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations
• Electrical construction and general construction safety experience
• Experience conducting jobsite safety inspections and audits
• Ability to train, mentor, and coach field employees on safe work practices
• Experience performing incident/mishap investigations and reporting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Leadership skills with ability to influence safety culture
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and basic computer skills
• Ability to analyze data and prepare safety documentation
• Ability to access heights via ladders and scaffolding
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. regularly
• Willingness to travel and work flexible/on-call schedules

Day-to-Day:

• Conduct daily jobsite inspections to ensure safe working conditions
• Partner with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to address safety concerns
• Deliver safety training, orientations, toolbox talks, and mentorship to employees
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards
• Monitor PPE usage and jobsite safety requirements
• Perform equipment, tool, and scaffold inspections
• Participate in daily Jobsite Safety Analyses (JSA) and hazard assessments
• Conduct routine safety audits and compliance reviews
• Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Prepare safety reports, hazard analyses, and related documentation
• Recommend corrective actions and disciplinary measures for safety violations
• Collaborate with Safety Director and leadership teams on safety initiatives
• Build strong relationships with field employees, clients, and trade partners
• Promote and reinforce a proactive safety culture across all projects
