Information Management Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Information Management Analyst to serve as a subject matter expert responsible for enterprise information management, taxonomy governance, metadata design, and knowledge management initiatives. This individual will lead the development and maintenance of enterprise knowledge models, classification schemas, and metadata frameworks while supporting content migration, records management, and information governance across the organization. The ideal candidate has deep experience with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platforms, information architecture, taxonomy management, and records lifecycle management within a highly regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Maintain and enhance enterprise knowledge models, taxonomies, metadata structures, and enterprise data maps. Manage taxonomy updates and change requests while ensuring the integrity and consistency of enterprise metadata standards. Develop and execute SPARQL queries to support reporting, analytics, and knowledge model management. Identify opportunities to improve information quality, search capabilities, and knowledge management across enterprise systems. Partner with IT and business stakeholders to integrate taxonomy and metadata standards into new and existing applications. Lead information governance initiatives involving document classification, retention schedules, and records lifecycle management. Support enterprise content migration projects into approved document and records management systems. Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and reporting metrics related to information management and governance. Provide guidance on information management best practices, metadata standards, and records compliance. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Information Systems, Library Science, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Equivalent professional experience will be considered. 8+ years of experience in Information Management, Taxonomy Development, Metadata Management, or Information Governance. Experience working within highly regulated industries such as Energy, Utilities, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Financial Services, or similar environments preferred. Strong experience developing and maintaining: Hands‑on experience with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platforms such as SharePoint and Documentum . Experience implementing document retention schedules, records lifecycle management, and information governance policies. Experience with ontology or taxonomy management tools such as Progress Semaphore (formerly SmartLogic Semaphore) or similar knowledge management platforms. Ability to write and maintain SPARQL queries for reporting and knowledge model management. Preferred Skills Strong understanding of information lifecycle management and enterprise records management. Experience supporting enterprise content migration initiatives. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently. Experience building consensus across technical and business teams.
