Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianRogers Group Inc. is seeking a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician for our operation located in Williamsport, IN. Interstate Sand and Gravel is an open-pit mine where naturally occurring deposits of sand and gravel are extracted for use in construction and other industries.The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on stationary crushing, screening, and conveying equipment.Troubleshoot mechanical issues with crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps, and other plant systems.Replace or repair bearings, belts, pulleys, motors, gearboxes, liners, and other plant components as needed.Conduct welding, cutting, and fabrication work to repair or modify equipment and structures.Assist with equipment installation, alignment, and setup of new plant components.Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.Work closely with production personnel to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient plant operations.Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, dust, etc.).Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time throughout the workday, as required to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.Operate mobile equipment (e.g., forklift, skid steer, manlift) as needed for maintenance tasks.Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental regulations.Participate in daily safety meetings and communicate equipment issues promptly to supervisors.Required Qualifications:Must have dedication to safe work practicesPrevious maintenance experienceMechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as neededMust be willing to work a regular 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. shiftMust be willing to work overtime and weekends as neededMust be willing to work outside in a variety of conditionsMust pass pre-employment drug screeningAs a Rogers Group employee, you will have access to our competitive company perks, including:Group insurance options plus Health Savings Account with annual company contribution.Company paid life insurance, disability insurance, and more.Retirement 401K account with company contribution and match.Paid Holiday Shutdown period between Christmas and New Years in addition to 7 holidays throughout the year.Paid vacation available after 180-day probationary periodAnnual performance-based merit increasesRogers Group provides extensive benefits, strong compensation, and career growth opportunities.
