Remote Procurement Intake Project Manager

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Procurement Intake Project Manager for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Management Consulting clients. This will be a remote position supporting EST hours. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Procurement Intake Operations, business process management, and procurement workflow implementations to support our client's Global Procurement Operations team.
This role will provide operational and project leadership for a recently implemented enterprise Procurement Intake process, with a focus on release management, post-implementation stabilization, operational oversight, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will have hands-on procurement intake experience, strong project and process management capabilities, and the ability to independently resolve issues and drive initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups.


Responsibilities:

• Lead operational and project management activities for an enterprise Procurement Intake process, ensuring requests are appropriately captured, routed, monitored, and transitioned to downstream procurement teams.
• Support upcoming process releases, including release readiness, implementation coordination, hypercare, issue resolution, stakeholder adoption, and stabilization.
• Provide day-to-day oversight of procurement intake workflows, proactively identifying bottlenecks, routing issues, operational exceptions, and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with Category Management, Sourcing, Contracting, Purchasing, and other stakeholders to ensure effective handoffs, clear ownership, and timely resolution of outstanding issues.
• Manage multiple workstreams, risks, dependencies, and action items, providing concise updates on operational performance, release status, and key decisions to senior leadership and Steering Committees.
• Drive process improvements through operational data, stakeholder feedback, and root-cause analysis, translating lessons learned into requirements and priorities for future releases.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and workflow technologies to improve efficiency, operational visibility, and the overall procurement experience.

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of relevant experience in Project Management, Procurement Operations, Business Operations, or a related field.
• Must have direct experience with enterprise Procurement Intake processes and workflows, including request management, routing, exception handling, and handoffs to downstream procurement functions.
• Strong understanding of the procurement lifecycle, including Intake, Category Management, Sourcing, Contracting, and Purchasing.
• Demonstrated experience supporting complex business process or technology implementations through release, hypercare, stabilization, and continuous improvement.
• Strong project and process management skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities, resolve operational issues, and drive cross-functional initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience providing concise, decision-oriented updates to senior leadership and governance forums.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with experience using operational data to identify bottlenecks, determine root causes, and drive process improvements.
• Ability to operate independently in a complex, evolving enterprise environment while collaborating across functions, geographies, and time zones.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with enterprise procurement intake, Source-to-Pay / Procure-to-Pay, or workflow management platforms.
• Experience supporting enterprise procurement transformation or global shared services operations.
• Familiarity with AI, automation, or digital workflow solutions used to improve operational efficiency.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
