About the Position

Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) Specialty: Respiratory Care Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Evenings Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required, 5 years preferred License: Required Licenses Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC Must-Have: - Credentialed Respiratory Care Practitioner - Adult intubation skills Description: Provides care to all patient populations for therapeutic purposes. Reviews and maintains care plans. Performs evaluations on patients and adjusts care appropriately. Provides a team approach in the delivery of care for distressed newborns and C-section cases. Utilizes Epic computerized charting (EMR). Scans medication and supply utilization. Operates general equipment associated with respiratory care and treatment modalities. Utilizes specific equipment such as Servo ventilators, BIPAP, Airvo, MetNeb, and Neo-Tee. Works collaboratively and will not work alone. Available for call when needed and required to work every other weekend. Shifts are 5 PM to 5 AM. Floating to other units or departments may be required. The unit is a 250-bed facility with a 12-bed ICU. Dress code is black scrubs. Training includes EPIC training and department-specific training up to 3 weeks with a preceptor.
