Radiology - Sonographer/Ultrasound Tech

Sonographer

The position requires a sonographer skilled in performing a variety of ultrasound studies. The department has two scanners and performs an average of 6 to 8 scans per day. There is no requirement to float to other areas. A radiologist is available on-site during the day and 24/7 for emergency cases. The role involves working one weekend shift every other weekend. The sonographer is also required to take call, consisting of one 12-hour call per week and one 24-hour call every other weekend. Scrubs must be in professional colors. The cancellation policy allows for up to four shifts to be canceled within a 13-week assignment. The work setting is acute care, and the trauma level is 3.

Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Abdomen (RDMS-AB), Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Breast (RDMS-BR) Must-Have: Experience in general imaging including thyroids, abdomen, and pelvis Ability to work in a hospital setting covering all areas and ages Experience with EMR and PACS systems, specifically Epic
